For the 2019 tax season, Hopp Accounting and Tax Service will be bringing awareness to the Illinois Railway Museum www.irm.org. Hopp Accounting and Tax has chosen the Illinois Railway Museum to honor and recognize the interest in railroads on behalf of the founder of Hopp Accounting and Tax, Mr. Vern Hopp. Mr. Hopp passed away in November 2019. Mr. Hopp was passionate about trains and the railroads and he made it very well known with his love for collecting model trains.
The mission of the Illinois Railway Museum www.irm.org is to educate the public as to our nation’s railroad and railway history by collecting, preserving, and restoring rolling stock, artifacts, structures, and related transportation equipment for display to the public; exhibiting and operating restored rolling stock and equipment on a demonstration rail line; and collecting, preserving, and maintaining a reference library of publications, technical information, and other materials regarding railroads, railways, and related forms of transportation for research and other purposes.
